Junior Mentorship Programme (JuMP)

Junior Mentorship Program JuMP Initiative for junior EMAS Members.

Following the profound success of the previous year, EMAS is delighted to announce the second round of the Junior Mentorship Program (JuMP) for the period 2017 – 2019. The main aim of JuMP is to encourage career development of junior clinicians and researchers in the field of post-reproductive health. One expert mentor will be paired with a mentee for 18 months, based on mutual research interests.

The role of the mentor is to provide guidance on how to write a protocol and abstract, how to present at conferences and how to write a paper as well as clinical case solving. The outcomes are a research project, disseminated as a poster or oral presentation at the 2019 EMAS congress, and submission of a research paper to a peer-reviewed journal. As mentor - mentee pairs may not come from the same country, communication will be preferably online (e-mail, Skype, etc) and in English.

You can apply if you are:

-Below the age of 35 years or still in training

-A paid-up EMAS member

-Interested in research in the field of post-reproductive health

-Keen to liaison with and learn from a scientific expert with international reputation

It has to be noted that the mentees of the period 2016 - 2017, that want to extend the collaboration with their mentor, have to apply again.

The deadline for mentee applications is Wednesday, November 15th 2017. The application form is available below. Following evaluation by the JuMP committee, selected mentees will be paired with mentors. The JuMP is planned to start on Friday, December 1st 2017.

We hope you will take the opportunity to participate in this exciting initiative.
