This website is owned, managed and published by EMAS. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By becoming an EMAS member you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1.1 EMAS members have access to the Members' Area on the EMAS website. Through the Members' Area the Members get information on EMAS activities, they may search for and contact other Members, discuss certain topics in bulletin board systems. The information and services provided to the Members are referred to below as the “EMAS Services”.
1.2 These terms and conditions regulate the EMAS Services and the activities in the Members' Area of the EMAS website.
2.1 By completing and submitting the registration form on this website and paying the membership dues, a person becomes a member and will as such be able to access EMAS Services. In the registration form Member provides EMAS with certain data, such as name and contact details (“Personal Data”).
2.2 By completing and submitting the registration form the Member gives EMAS his/her consent to collect and use using the Personal Data. EMAS will use the data for the purpose of providing members with EMAS services. Personal Data that is marked as “Public Profile” will be visible to other members. Only EMAS can access other personal data. EMAS may transfer Personal Data to EMAS’ collaborating partners, for the purpose of providing the Members with information on the activities of such collaborating partner. Both ares and collaborating partners may be situated in countries outside the EEC.
2.3 The Member may at any time contact EMAS on the address given on the website and withdraw the consent to use the Personal Data as described above or ask for correction or deletion of Personal Data. Once a year the Member may, after having submitted a written request to EMAS, be provided with information of what data is registered with EMAS and how EMAS has used such information.
3.1 The member may only use the EMAS Services provided on the website for personal non-commercial purposes.
3.2 The Member agrees to abide by all applicable national and international laws and regulations and is solely responsible for all acts or omissions that occur through the Member’s use of the EMAS Services.
3.3 Member agree not to use the site or the EMAS Services in connection with, for example:
4.1 If a member should use the EMAS Services in violation of these terms and conditions, EMAS may at any time and without prior notice delete inappropriate content or suspend a Member, temporarily or permanently.
4.2 EMAS shall be entitled to discontinue to provide the EMAS Services at any time and without prior notice.
4.3 EMAS shall have no obligation to maintain any content in any member account or to forward this content to any third party.
4.4 EMAS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without prior notice.
5.1 Member Content
5.1.1 If not otherwise agreed, the Member gives EMAS a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide licence allowing EMAS to use, copy, sublicense, adapt, transmit, publicly perform or display any information provided by Member in connection with the use of this website, e.g.articles or comments posted to this web site. Members warrant that all information submitted by the Member to this site does not violate the rights of any third party.
5.1.2 EMAS shall have the right, but not the obligation towards the Members, to review any information posted on this site and to, without prior notice, edit, delete or remove any information, comments etc. that EMAS deems inappropriate or otherwise in violation of these terms and conditions.
5.1.3 Content provided by members is made available to all other Members.
5.2 EMAS Content
5.2.1 All information on the site, such as texts, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and software is protected by copyright, patent and trademark laws.
5.2.2 The Member is only authorised to use the website and its contents, for example copying, printing and distribution of information, for personal, non-commercial use, provided that the use of such information, or any portion thereof, is accompanied by an acknowledgement that EMAS is the source of the information, together with the name of the author.
5.2.3 The Disclaimer and Copyright notice given on the website shall apply also to the Members.
6.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
6.2 The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swiss courts.
