The European Menopause and Andropause Society (EMAS) strives to encourage the study of Menopause and Andropause as well as promote the exchange of research and professional experience between members through its journal, congresses and website.
Using a range of activities and through its affiliates, EMAS aims to guarantee and provide the same standard of education and information throughout Europe on midlife health in both genders.
The society also provides articles, patient information, web resources, and referrals for healthcare providers in the field and to keep its members up-to-date with all aspects of the climacteric in men and women.
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF EMAS

I would like to share a few exciting things happening at EMAS leading up to our congress in Athens, Greece March 28-31, 2012.
• Special membership discount
We are offering a special two year membership promotion. As you might know, in order to receive a discount to the 2012 congress, you must be a member of EMAS for two consecutive years, either 2011-2012 or 2012-2013. We are extending a free 2011 online access to Maturitas for people who sign-up now for the 2012-2013 membership.
• National meetings at EMAS 2012, Athens
Countries with a proportionally higher member representation in EMAS will have a preferred slot for national meetings at EMAS 2012. We are happy to do grouped membership renewal if this is more convenient for your society.
• Bids for EMAS 2016
EMAS members have recently voted to have EMAS congress every two years instead of every three, starting in 2014. We will soon start the bidding process for the 2016 congress. Countries who have proportionally more members in 2011-2012 will be granted a favorable status during the bids for the 2016 congress.
• Election of a new board (2012-2016)
A new board will be instated at EMAS General Assembly in Athens. Online elections will be held early March. Candidates will submit letters of intent in November. If you would like to nominate a candidate, feel free to contact the EMAS secretariat.
• Promotion of your society
